About the Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a Global Payroll Analyst to run and process our US Payroll using Workday. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of US payroll and focuses primarily on entering, validating, and running payroll in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations. This is a full-time position based out of our Bangalore office reporting to a manger in the US, and will require working evening/night IST hours (preferably 5PM to 2AM). Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team. What You’ll Do Process multi-state, biweekly/semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees using Workday. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payrolls, including bonuses, commissions, terminations, and equity transactions. Generate payroll registers and other payroll reports for review and approval. Audit payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies proactively. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions with a high level of customer service using Workday Help. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as HR, Benefits, HRIS, Accounting/Finance, Tax, Equity, and external payroll vendors. Assist in payroll audits (internal, external, SOX compliance). Skills We’re Looking For 5+ years processing US payroll. 3+ years processing US payroll with Workday. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation). Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines consistently. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to operate effectively across time zones and cultures. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Bonus Skills Worked with ADP SmartCompliance. Familiarity with 401k system and funding (Fidelity). Basic knowledge of federal and state payroll laws (wage and hour, overtime rules). Worked with and understand Workday timekeeping.
