Job Summary :

The SAP APO will play a pivotal role in delivering successful SAP APO implementations and support projects.

This position requires a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate client requirements into effective SAP APO solutions.

The consultant will work closely with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Process Analysis & Design :

- Gather and analyze business requirements from clients in areas such as demand planning, production planning, inventory management, and transportation.

- Document business processes and identify areas for improvement through the implementation of SAP APO.

- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for SAP APO configurations.

SAP APO Implementation & Configuration :

Configure and implement SAP APO modules including, but not limited to :

- Demand Planning : Forecasting, promotions planning, and collaborative forecasting.

- Supply Network Planning : Production planning, inventory optimization, and transportation planning.

- Global Available-to-Promise (GATP) : Order promising, order scheduling, and capacity planning.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP APO configurations.

Project Management & Delivery :

- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and go-live support.

- Adhere to project timelines and budgets.

- Effectively communicate project status and any potential risks or issues to project stakeholders.

Client Support & Maintenance :

- Provide ongoing support to clients on SAP APO functionalities and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

- Conduct training sessions for end-users on SAP APO modules.

- Stay abreast of the latest SAP APO releases, enhancements, and best practices.

Knowledge Management & Sharing :

- Document best practices and lessons learned from projects.

- Share knowledge and expertise with other team members.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of 8-12 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting SAP APO modules.

Technical Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of SAP APO modules, including Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, and GATP.

- Strong understanding of SAP ECC integration with SAP APO.

- Proficiency in ABAP/4 development (preferred).

- Experience with SAP APO data migration and interfaces.

Business Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong client-facing and presentation skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

- Knowledge of industry best practices in supply chain management.

- Willingness to travel to client sites as required
