The Application Development – UX/UI (UX/UI developer) is a role reporting into the Development Manager. The UX/UI developer drives innovative User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) designs for ConvergeOne (C1) software products. This is sometimes referred-to as frontend development. The UX/UI developer identifies and prioritizes UI/UX requirements, builds the technical design, and leads a team of C1 developers and contractors in the coding and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) of UX/UI software. The UX/UI developer will in some cases undertake coding of complex services and will lead development sprints and daily standup meetings.

Essential FunctionsPer the product roadmap(s) and continuous requirements definition: design and develop User Interfaces incorporating leading-edge User Experience concepts for C1 software products or new features for assigned GA productsDesign and development of custom UX/UI features for GA productsWorking with Professional Services, implementation, cutover and support for new GA UX/UI products, features and customizationsWorking with the Customer Success Centers, provide Tier 3/4 Day2 services including troubleshooting, diagnosis and bug fixes for assigned UX/UI products, features and customizationsProvide UX/UI subject matter expertise for Managed Services OffersMentor the software development team including Software Developers, Contractors and Interns carrying out tasks associated with the above Essential Functions to design, develop and CI/CD new UX/UI products, features and customizationsAssemble requirements for new UX/UI features for the product roadmap. These requirements come from a variety of sources including customers, C1 sales, industry/competitive trends and internal ideationUpdate and maintain UX/UI technical documentation and code repositoriesParticipate in the support of the presales process for UX/UI software products

Additional Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesStay current on evolving programming languages and development methodologiesStay current on evolving Customer Experience Management (CX) technologies, applications and platforms; this includes but is not limited to the cloud and customer-premise versions of Contact Center Infrastructure (CCI) platforms, enterprise applications, CX Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutionsEvaluate and scope application development initiativesProvide technical guidance and input for the Go-To-Market activities for assigned GA products

Required QualificationsMinimum BSEE/CS or equivalent mix of education and experience6+ Years’ Experience and In-Depth Knowledge with Telephony and Customer Experience Management UX/UIs and Application Development4 + Years’ Experience and In-Depth Knowledge of Lean/Agile Development Methodologies, and Product Lifecycle ManagementAbility to lead a diverse group of developers and contractors using current/next generation methodologies, programming languages, architectures, etc.Hands-on knowledge of: current generation programming languages such as Node.js, React.js, Angular, Express, GraphQL, jQuery; services such as GitHub; and DockerHands-on experience with HTML technologies such as CSS, Bootstrap, Material/Mui, TailwindWireframe UX design tools knowledge such as Figma, Balsamic, WireframingHands-on experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs for integrating C1 products with multiple vendors’ platformsAbility to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot the solution for proofs of concepts on latest technologies.

Desired/Preferred QualificationsDeep technical understanding of Application Programming Interfaces for: the major and evolving CCI vendors including Avaya, Cisco, Genesys, Twilio and Amazon; enterprise application software such as Salesforce.com, Oracle Service Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.; and the emerging Virtual Assistant/bot solutions.Experience with building vertical-specific (e.g., insurance, banking, and healthcare) UX/UIsTechnical understanding of building platforms based on a microservices architecture and deployment methods such as KubernetesExperience with “Big Data” analytics platforms
