As the Engineering Head at Candor Textiles, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities within our technical textile manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the smooth functioning of machinery and equipment, optimizing processes for efficiency and quality, and spearheading innovation and improvement initiatives to drive the company towards its strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Develop and drive the overall Preventive Maintenance and Utility equipment of the Plant by creation of an annual Maintenance budget of the approved checklist on a yearly basis to ensure the reliability and longevity of machinery and equipment. Oversee the Unplanned Machine Maintenance by doing RCA and action planning for reduction in repetitive breakdown with the help of breakdown analysis. Implement strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize energy consumption.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • New Project: Monitoring of new equipment erection, installation and commissioning for civil, mechanical & electrical and maintenance equipment’s within deadlines and as per drawing specifications
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to engineering practices, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the engineering department budget, including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and project costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize spending without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Lead External and Internal Audits: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical)
  • Proven experience of 10-12 years within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical expertise in machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes
