A highly skilled and talented QA engineer who will be responsible for designing and running manual and automated test cases to check the performance of game software developed within the Game Porting Studio.

A good knowledge of writing and executing test cases, to identify issues or bugs in game software, is essential. Testing alongside sprint deliveries, you will work within the Game Porting Studio team to ensure early identification of issues, contributing to quality project deliveries.

A sound knowledge of using test case management tools such as TestRail, and issue tracking software such as Jira, is essential.

Specific Responsibilities and Experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively working with Studio Product Owner to understand the project requirements and prepare the test cases.
  • Working closely with the software development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Designing and executing test cases and test scripts to understand their functionality, usability, and performance, and helping the development team identify issues for correction.
  • Re-executing test cases and test scripts to confirm whether previous issues have been resolved and game software is working correctly.
  • Maintaining Retail Market specific test cases, test scripts, test reports, and test documentation.
  • Participating in Agile-Scrum development processes and providing feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A sound knowledge of using test case management tools such as TestRail, and issue tracking software such as Jira, is essential.
  • An excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate with people working at different levels and functions within the organisation.
  • Methodical, systematic and disciplined approach to personal work streams.
  • Self-motivated, able to relate to individuals at all levels with a confident and flexible approach to any given working environment.
  • Be able to accept and adapt to change in priorities, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to think outside the box.
  • General IT knowledge, confidence and literacy (ability to use MS Office, able to install software, copy files, etc.).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Systems knowledge in an IT focused environment.

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience of working in either a game development or test, environment, team or function.
  • An understanding of gaming regulations, and the impact on game testing and release.
  • Previous industry experience and / or experience within a similar role would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of technology that is installed in gaming terminals.
