Café Manager and Operations Associate
Location:  Sector 81, Gurugram, India
Company Overview:  ikviti coffee is a hyper-local specialty coffee chain proudly serving residents of gated societies in New Gurugram, India. Job Summary:  As a Cafe Manager & Operations Associate, you will be responsible for the overall management and efficient operation of the coffee shop located in Sector 81, Gurugram. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality service, manage staff, maintain inventory, and drive sales while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Additionally, you will be responsible to set the processes for procurement, hygiene, maintenance and operations for ikviti coffee’s future outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
·        Team Leadership:  Supervise, train, and motivate a team of baristas and support staff to deliver exceptional customer service. Create schedules, manage shifts, and monitor performance to ensure high standards are met.
·        Operations Management:  Oversee day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, inventory management, ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the coffee shop(s).
·        Customer Service:  Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring an outstanding experience for all residents and patrons. Address customer concerns promptly and ensure their satisfaction.
·        Financial Management:  Monitor sales, prepare and manage budgets, and control costs. Implement strategies to maximize profitability and achieve financial targets.
·        Menu Development and Quality Control:  Work closely with the leadership team to maintain high-quality standards in food and beverage preparation. Keep updated with trends and contribute to the development of the menu.
·        Compliance and Safety:  Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (such as FSSAI etc.), as well as lead the process to create ikviti’s health and safety policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and clean environment for both customers and staff.
·        Social media:  Extend full cooperation to the social media and marketing team, deployed by the management from time-to-time.
·        Others:  Any other roles and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the management.
Additional Information:
·        Working Hours:  This is a full-time position but with flexible working hours.
Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a cafe setting.
Prior experience managing staff, inventory, and budgets is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience may be substituted.
Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure a positive cafe experience.
Proficiency in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and cost control.
Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to schedule staff, create rosters, and delegate tasks effectively.
Strong analytical skills to track sales, costs, and profitability.
Proficiency in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems like PetPooja
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new things.
Additional Desirable Skills (depending on the specific cafe):
Knowledge of coffee brewing and preparation methods.
Experience in menu development and recipe costing.
Event planning experience (for cafes that host events).
Knowledge of social media marketing (for cafes with a strong online presence).
Salary range: ₹30,000 per month to ₹40,000 per month (depending on qualifications)+ other benefits
