Job Summary :The AVI-SPL Onsite Maintenance Engineer will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needsPerform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware componentsClean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.Responsible for job site documentation as neededField installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capabilityField service support of control programs (AMX / Crestron/etc.) – minor edits (could be with the aid of a programmer), compile, upload and download capabilityField service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.)Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing connectors, video/audio recording supportWork with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPLProvide client training as neededAdhere to and understand local safety standards for all site dutiesSetup and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.Travel to various job sites as requiredOther duties assigned as needed Skills and Abilities:Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleaguesAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to manage small to medium projectsAbility to solder & crimp connectorsMinor programming capability (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshootingAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesBasic computer knowledgeKnowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and controlValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standardsEducation and/or Experience:Minimum of 3 - 5 years of audiovisual integration experience preferredFormal education in Electronics or related field preferredMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferredPreferred external training:o AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionalso AMX Programmer Io Crestron Professional Installationo Essentials of Crestron Programming Certificationo Exton AV Associate Certificationo Info Comm Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industryo Info Comm CTS General CertificationMore about us:AVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
