The
Diversity Marketing Coordinator
supports the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing strategies that authentically represent and engage diverse communities. This role collaborates across departments to ensure that marketing content, campaigns, and initiatives are culturally relevant, inclusive, and aligned with the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) values. The ideal candidate is creative, culturally aware, detail-oriented, and passionate about inclusive storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns that target and celebrate diverse audiences (e.g., by race, ethnicity, gender, ability, LGBTQ+, age, and more).
  • Work with internal teams to ensure messaging and branding reflect inclusivity and cultural relevance.
  • Coordinate with DEI and community engagement teams to align marketing strategies with broader equity goals.
  • Support content creation for digital platforms, social media, newsletters, blogs, and events with a focus on diverse representation.
  • Research cultural observances, awareness months, and trends to help inform campaign calendars and initiatives.
  • Assist with partnership outreach and engagement with diverse media outlets, influencers, and community organizations.
  • Track campaign performance and engagement metrics to assess impact and recommend improvements.
  • Help ensure marketing materials adhere to accessibility standards and inclusive language guidelines.
  • Support internal education by sharing best practices and contributing to inclusive marketing resources.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or DEI-focused roles.
  • Experience supporting inclusive or community-based marketing campaigns is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of inclusive marketing practices and cultural competence.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with attention to visual and verbal branding.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in marketing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and engaging with diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DEI frameworks, multicultural communication, or community engagement.
  • Experience working with underrepresented or historically marginalized communities.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
