Overall purpose of the job:

Knowledge and experience required:
• In depth knowledge and troubleshooting of networking principles equivalent to CCNP R&S or
JNCIS level
• Ability to troubleshoot and sectionalise faults to identify root cause and resolution
• Advanced knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols
• Significant experience deploying and/or supporting Next Generation Firewalls ideally
Fortinet or Palo Alto – including extensive knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting
ACLs, NAT, IPSec and SSL VPNs.
• Proficient in packet capture and interpretation using Wireshark
Desirable knowledge and experience:
• Experience with Alcatel SR & ESS
• Experience with wireless solutions e.g. Meraki, HP Aruba
experience with network automation/programming such as Ansible/Pytho
