About the role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator with strong CPQ knowledge for this role. While working predominately in the CPQ space, there will be opportunities to work across teams on various projects. Drawing from their own experience and expertise – and applying Salesforce best practices - the ideal candidate will work with stakeholders to recommend solutions that satisfy complex business requirements.

Responsibilities:

The administrator in this role will be responsible for all Salesforce administration tasks, with a strong focus on CPQ. CPQ certification and 8-10 years’ experience are required for this role.

CPQ

  • CPQ Configuration: Mastery of CPQ configuration is essential. This involves setting up products, pricing rules, discount schedules, product bundles, and product rules within Salesforce CPQ
  • Product Catalog Management: Ability to manage and maintain a comprehensive product catalog within Salesforce CPQ, including adding new products, updating existing ones, and retiring obsolete ones
  • Pricing Strategies: Understanding of pricing strategies and the ability to implement them within Salesforce CPQ. This may include volume-based pricing, tiered pricing, discounting, and dynamic pricing rules
  • Quote Templates: Proficiency in creating and customizing quote templates using Salesforce CPQ's document generation tools, ensuring that quotes are professional, accurate, and aligned with branding guidelines
  • Approval Processes: Knowledge of setting up approval processes for quotes within Salesforce CPQ to ensure that quotes meet the required criteria before they are sent to customers

Other Salesforce Administrator Responsibilities

  • Use tools such as Flow to build automations within Salesforce
  • Apply best practices in overseeing/supporting the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and improvement of Salesforce, including the creation of custom objects and fields, lightning record pages, custom settings, etc., maintain the Salesforce security model, including roles, profiles, sharing rules, and permission sets
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise (via internal ticketing system or SFDC Cases)
  • Maintain understanding of basic triggers/Apex code
  • Coordinate with/assist Change Management in developing and sharing communication regarding platform changes
  • Apply business analysis skills and make data-driven recommendations to help improve business processes
  • Possess and maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce products, features, and best practices and use that understanding when responding to business enhancement requests and participate in knowledge share
  • Monitor and update Salesforce data including importing, exporting, and mass updating of data. Implement rules and automation/validation as needed
