Position Description:

We are seeking a security engineer to join the Pluang engineering team based out of Gurgaon. Pluang provides users with the opportunity to invest in gold, cryptocurrencies, Indonesian stocks, US stocks, mutual funds, and other investment products to grow their savings.

You will be working with a team of highly motivated, young & dynamic teams of 70+ engineers.

Position Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively & proactively with software engineering verticals to define application, infrastructure and deployment requirements from a security standpoint
• Participate in architecture discussions to recommend security best practices during design stages
• Maintain a vulnerability management program and carry out assessments to uncover security risks across applications, public cloud, data systems, etc.
• Design and develop solutions for automating security processes to reduce manual effort and mundane tasks
• Design & implement solutions around perimeter security (WAF, Bot Mitigation), application security (SAST, DAST), cloud security, threat detection & response, etc.
• Support compliance/regulatory requirements and audits
• Work with third parties and partners to enhance information security governance, compliance & projects as required

Must have experience/skills:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment & penetration testing against web applications, mobile applications (Android & iOS), and infrastructure.
• Working with threat detection tools like EDR (Crowdstrike, Sentinel), Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Wazuh, WAF (Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS WAF), etc.
• Experience working with modern cloud-based microservice architectures (AWS, GCP) & their security controls.
• Experience conducting application security reviews, API design, code reviews, and root cause analysis.
• Experience working in collaboration with product managers and software engineering teams to improve security throughout SSDLC and Threat Modeling

Good to have experience/skills:

• Experience with working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in implementing SAST/DAST technologies
• Experience in working with container security.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to developers during issue resolution, helping them troubleshoot problems, suggest solutions, and ensure quick and effective resolution of technical challenges.
• Creating and building automation using bash, Python, etc.
• Creating and maintaining various Ansible playbooks for automation pieces.
• Hands-On Experience on Kubernetes.
• CI/CD Automation with Jenkins and Argo CD.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas.
• Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance.
• Identify means to optimize infrastructure utilization and reduce costs.
• Demonstrate expertise in managing and optimizing infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with cloud services
