Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies to address climate change and reduce the company's carbon footprint.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable resource management.
  • Conduct climate risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential impacts on the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations and processes.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and regulatory bodies, to promote sustainability efforts and communicate progress.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainability and climate change.
  • Manage sustainability certifications and participate in industry forums and working groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sustainability management, with a focus on climate change, for at least 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.

Skills:

  • Sustainability Strategy: Developing and implementing sustainability initiatives.
  • Climate Risk Assessment: Conducting assessments and developing mitigation plans.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking and reporting on sustainability metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and standards.

Preferred:

  • Certification in sustainability or environmental management (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001).
  • Experience in conducting life cycle assessments and carbon footprint analysis.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in sustainability reporting software and tools.
