Job Title : Policy Administration System (PAS) Developer Function: Insurance Location: Noida Experience: 3 to 8 years Purpose of Job: The PAS Developer will be responsible for the design, development, customization, and maintenance of the Policy Administration System (PAS) platform within Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life Insurance domains. The role involves developing and extending Newgen PAS solutions using modern architectures, APIs, and database design principles. The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality insurance solutions on the Newgen Low Code platform. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and configure Newgen PAS components including policy modules, workflows, business rules, and user interfaces. Customize PAS functionalities for policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, billing, and claims. Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects to translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementations. Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and JSON. Participate in unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application performance and reliability. Support system deployments, enhancements, and production issue resolutions. Document configurations, code changes, and solution designs following best practices. Work in coordination with architects to ensure alignment with overall system architecture and design principles. Stay updated on emerging PAS features, tools, and technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement. Key Skills & Experience: 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in PAS development within insurance domain, preferably in P&C and/or Life Insurance. Practical experience working on PAS platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, TCS Bancs, Azentio, DXC, or Sapiens. Proficiency in Java / .NET / SQL / XML / REST or SOAP APIs for PAS customization and integration. Strong understanding of insurance policy lifecycle (quote, bind, issue, endorsement, renewal, and cancellation). Experience in developing or integrating with underwriting, billing, or claims systems. Familiarity with microservices-based architectures, API-led development, and relational databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across business and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Certification or experience in Guidewire, Duck Creek, or equivalent platforms. Experience working with both Life and P&C insurance products. Understanding of insurance regulatory requirements and domain-specific workflows.
