Function Task descriptionManagement of
Mechanical
Engineering Manage the OES MechanicalEngineering team ensuring compliance with Osmoflos
policies procedures processes and qualityaccreditations.
Effectively coordinate Mechanicalresources to ensure designs are completed
according toagreed schedule and meet clients specifications andrequirements.
Ensure the Mechanical Engineering teammaintains an effective working
relationship with otherdisciplines and the Osmoflo Proposals and Projectsteams.
Allocate Mechanical resources in consultationwith the Engineering Manager
Pune.
Manage theperformance of the team including completing staffperformance
reviews according to Osmoflos Performanceand Development framework.
Manage the training anddevelopment needs of the Mechanical team.
Incoordination with the PC&S team manage recruitment andonboarding of OES
Mechanical team.
Ensurethat staff timesheets are completed with appropriate detail andsubmitted

Design
Management Adherence toOsmoflos Quality System for all design work carried out.
Manage the detailed Mechanical design and drafting of the allocatedprojects.
Develop optimised design processes includingdocumentation.
Coordinate attend and participate ininternal and external (customer) project
meetings andvendor meetings.
Ensure Mechanical design and draftingprocesses are undertaken efficiently and
according toagreed budgets specifications and schedules.
Ensure thatany design changes are formally documents as ProjectChange
Requests (PCR)
Advise team leadermanagers and projects teams as soon as any design delaysare
identified. Put forward innovative solutions tomitigate any delays.
Identify mechanical risks inProjects and advise execution and delivery teams and
devise mitigation strategies.
Manage external agenciesfor subcontracted works to ensure that they are
fulfilling their responsibilities under the contract and ensuretheir output meetings
quality requirements and agreedtimeframes.
Identify opportunities for improvement inthe development and design of
templates standarddocuments and the standardisation of processes.
Adviseand support members in other disciplines and departments on allareas of
mechanical engineering design and draftingthrough all phases of project delivery.
Ensure designsare both technical and commercial sound.
Review previousand ongoing design work to identify opportunities toincrease
quality and cost effectiveness ofdesigns. Continuous
Improvement Provide solutions fornonconfirming products.
Provide solutions for safety andenvironmental incidents
Contribute to and support allOsmoflos sales efforts by providing supporting to
Salesand Proposals team in completing designs documentation and costingsas
required.
Assist in the identification ofimprovements and continuous
development/improvement oftemplates design guidelines and standardisation of
documentation.
Drive ongoing technical developments andcontinuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute toOsmoflos culture of innovation by seeking and developing
innovations. Investigate an close outOpportunities for Improvement (OFI) and Non
ConformanceReport (NCR) issues. Other Tasks Monitorcosts and budgets closely and take corrective action whererequired. POSITION DESCRIPTIONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
