MapOut, a dynamic ed-tech startup, is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our growing team. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user journey for our innovative learning platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Experience with Digital Marketing, and/or Animation & Illustration will be a huge plus

Responsibilities:

Conduct

user research

to understand learner needs and preferences.Design

user-centered interfaces (UI)

that are clear, engaging, and accessible across various platforms (web, mobile).Incorporate

animation and illustration

where appropriate to enhance the user experience.Develop user flows and wireframes to map out user journeys.Create

high-fidelity mockups and prototypes

for usability testing and refinement.Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and content creators to ensure a seamless user experience.Stay up-to-date on

design trends and best practices

in the education technology space.Leverage your marketing skills to contribute to the visual identity and brand messaging of MapOut.Effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.Adapt and thrive in the fast-paced, agile environment of a growing startup.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (preferred).Minimum 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.Proven ability to conduct user research and translate insights into actionable design solutions.In-depth understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles.Proficiency in design tools like

Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite

(Photoshop, Illustrator).A keen eye for content placement, information architecture, and visual hierarchy.A

marketing-oriented mindset

with a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly experiences.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus points for:Experience in designing for educational platforms or mobile applications.Understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG).Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS).Experience with user testing and data analysis.
