Position Title : Pre Underwriter
Location : Mysuru, Karnataka
Shift: US Shift
Employment Type : Full-time & WFO
Roles and Responding
Analyze and verify loan applications, including income verification, employment verification, asset verification, and credit history.
Evaluate financial risk factors and determine loan eligibility based on established criteria.
Order and review appraisals, title reports, and other loan documentation.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and investor loan guidelines.
Communicate effectively with Loan Officers, Processors, borrowers, and other parties involved in the loan process.
Prepare comprehensive reports with clear justifications for approval or denial of loan applications.
Stay up-to-date on changes in mortgage lending regulations and industry standards.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a similar financial analysis role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts.
Proficiency in mortgage lending software and underwriting tools (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines a plus).
