Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain data models on AWS Redshift for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Build and manage data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into Redshift.
- Utilize SQL languages (i.e., PostgreSQL) to perform complex data queries and analysis on Redshift data.
- Possess a strong understanding of AWS services including S3 for data storage, EC2 for compute instances, VPC for secure network configuration, and Route 53 for domain name resolution.
- Experience with additional services like Aurora or RDS is a plus.
- Implement and maintain data security best practices within the Redshift data warehouse.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Redshift clusters to ensure efficient data processing and query execution.
- Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence professionals, and developers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-4 years of experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-related role.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift data warehousing.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in SQL programming languages (i.e., PostgreSQL).
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, VPC, and Route 53.
- Experience with data ingestion and transformation tools (a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
