Role Description

Trademarkia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Global HR Manager to join our team in Chennai. The Global Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with legal requirements. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, providing guidance and support to employees, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and auditing monthly employee timekeeping, with a particular focus on US and global attorneys. Additionally, the HR Manager will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, enhancing the performance culture, and managing in-office, hybrid, and remote roles with flexibility for top performers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Timekeeping and Auditing:

- Track and audit monthly employee timekeeping records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.- Focus on timekeeping for US attorneys and global attorneys to ensure proper reporting and billing.

1. Employee Engagement and Culture:

- Foster a positive work environment within the core engineering teams in the local Chennai office.- Promote a high-performing culture through engagement initiatives and performance management.

1. Work Environment Management:

- Manage in-office roles, ensuring optimal working conditions and support.- Provide flexibility for hybrid and remote roles, particularly for high-performing employees.

1. HR Policies and Procedures:

- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the company’s objectives.- Ensure compliance with local and international labor laws and regulations.

1. Talent Management:

- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for local and global teams.- Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.

1. Performance Management:

- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.- Develop performance improvement plans for underperforming employees and recognize top performers.

1. Employee Relations:

- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.- Promote a culture of open communication and mutual respect.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a global or multinational company.- Strong understanding of timekeeping and auditing processes, especially for legal professionals.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels.- Strong organizational and project management skills.- Knowledge of local and international labor laws and regulations.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with engineering teams and understanding their unique HR needs.- Familiarity with HR software and tools for tracking timekeeping and performance.- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
