Position Summary

Strong 5G RAN protocol software and/or LLVM (Compiler) experience

Role and Responsibilities

5G Protocol SW:
1. Design and development of 5G and beyond 5G MAC Software features
2. Participate in deep-dive technical discussions for new features with global team
3. Create a modular design which can extend to 6G
4. Implementation, Verification and documentation of design and Test reports
5. Hands-on experience of 1+ years in Linux environment. Proficiency in Linux Internals.

LLVM & Platform:
1. (Designing and implement compiler for target processor) Perform to design and implement compiler based on target processor and information(instruction structure, register structure and etc.) used to generate code.
2. (Analyzing application operated on target processor) Perform to analyze major features(total execution time, bottleneck functions execution time, cache miss ratio, period prediction miss ratio and etc.) of application operated on target processor.
3. (Designing and implementing compiler optimization passes) Perform to design and implement compiler optimization pass to optimize performance of application based on the result of analyzing application.
4. (Suggesting improvement points of process's instruction assembly architecture and microarchitecture) Participate in finding improvement points of process's instruction assembly architecture and microarchitecture.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Experience in compiler SW development, such as gcc, clang, any native SW compilers
2. Proficiency in Instruction Set Architecture of Intel or ARM or AMD platforms
3. Experience in Assembly level coding, strong understanding of SIMD architecture
4. Proficiency in micro-architecture concepts and performance impacts (Cache, NUMA, memory bus, clock states).
5. Design & Implementation of acceleration SW libraries for cellular network modem SW
6. Compiler SW enhancement using LLVM compiler passes. Develop information and transformation LLVM pass for specific micro-architectures
7. Any contribution to the LLVM open source compiler tool chain is added advantage
8. Good to have cimpiler and acceleration library implementations for RISC-V
