Wireless Architect – 5G

Tata Elxsi’s strong domain expertise in Media and Communications, complemented with our experience in delivering vertically industry use cases, enable customers to differentiate and win. We offer integrated services from research and strategy to electronics and mechanical design, software development, validation, and deployment, supported by design studios, global development centers, and offices around the globe. These cover the entire spectrum of the 5G Services, Edge computing services, and subsystems to the connectivity, cloud platform and infrastructure elements.

We are seeking a 5G Wireless Architect with 15+ years of experience who can contribute to the success & advancement of our projects through their leadership & expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with account and competency teams to identify service lines to tap into the evolving 5G deployment space Work with partners and solution providers to create a compelling proposition for end customers / Operators Lead discussions with customers on various 5G deployment challenges, their requirements, and TE’s propositions Drive internal initiatives for focused and business-driven investments Build capabilities by working within competency teams and potential partners as necessary Develop innovative and customer-focused PoCs Mentor junior team members and groom training to ensure a skilled workforce Share knowledge and insights with the broader IT team and stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, A master's degree is a plus. 15+ years of experience in the telecom industry working for network OEMs or Telcos Strong understanding of evolving 3GPP standards, 5G network architecture, RAN and core elements, and SA/NSA deployment strategies Experience in 4G/5G RAN-Core integration, pre-deployment testing, and verification Good understanding of O-RAN architecture and understanding of CU-DU and DU-RU integration testing and challenges Experience with one of the leading RAN testing tools from Viavi, Keysight, or equivalent Experience working on RAN and core solutions from leading OEMs like Nokia, Samsung, Mavenir, Altiostar, etc. Ability to understand Telcos' business challenges and deployment strategies Understanding of CBRS deployment strategies and SIM/eSIM management Strong experience working on Telco programs integrating and delivering 4G/5G E2E solutions It is good to have some exposure to overall Telco network management, OSS, and NOC operations Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
