Roles & Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Preparation and presentation of all food items, in the assigned Section, to ensure highest quality at all times and have deep knowledge of the Recipes of the section
Recipe Execution:
They follow recipes and instructions provided by the chef de partie or sous chef to ensure consistency in the quality and presentation of dishes.
Assisting with Menu Planning:
Depending on their level of experience and expertise, demi chefs may contribute ideas for menu items and assist in menu planning sessions, Be responsible for the ordering of all fresh produce and dry goods for Section use
Quality Control:
Assist in maintaining the quality and presentation of food by inspecting ingredients for freshness, monitoring cooking times and temperatures, and ensuring proper seasoning and plating.
Inventory Management:
Participate in inventory control activities such as stock rotation, stocktaking, and recording of wastage to minimize food waste and ensure adequate supplies are available.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with kitchen supervisors, chefs, and other team members to coordinate tasks, report any issues or concerns, and ensure smooth workflow during service.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
Training and Development:
Demi chefs may be involved in training new kitchen staff and helping them learn the ropes of working in a professional kitchen environment.
Maintain the Reports:
Daily basis of Maintaining of reports, Wastage, Prep List and inventory of vegetables, meat and Dry Store
Passion for Cooking:
Demonstrate a genuine interest in cooking and a willingness to pursue a career in the culinary field, showing enthusiasm for learning and contributing to the kitchen team.
Customer Service:
Occasionally interact with customers to answer questions, accommodate special requests, and ensure their satisfaction with food quality and service.
Technical Skills:
- 6-8 Years of experience
- Inventory management

- Daily ordering of dry & fresh ingredients

- Food safety and hygiene
- Graduation/Post Graduation from relevant education background
