We’re Hiring: Backup Engineer – Commvault & NetBackup Location:Noida, India Work Mode:5 Days OfficeWe’re looking for aBackup Engineerwith strong experience inCommvaultandVeritas NetBackupto ensure data protection across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.Key Responsibilities ✅ Administer and maintain enterprise backup solutions usingCommvaultandNetBackup ✅ Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup jobs, schedules, and policies ✅ Perform regular backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery drills ✅ Collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure backup coverage and SLAs ✅ Manage backup storage capacity, retention policies, and tape library operations ✅ Implement and maintain backup reporting and alerting mechanisms ✅ ProvideL2/L3 supportfor backup-related incidents and service requests ✅ Document backup architecture, procedures, and recovery plansRequired Skills & Qualifications ✔ Strong experience withCommvault Complete Backup & RecoveryandVeritas NetBackup ✔ Knowledge of backup strategies forVMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and file systems ✔ Familiarity withcloud backup integrations(Azure, AWS, GCP) ✔ Experience withdeduplication, encryption, and data retention policies ✔ Proficiency in scripting ( PowerShell, Bash, Python ) for automation ✔ Understanding ofITIL processesand tools likeServiceNow Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field Certifications likeCommvault Certified ProfessionalorVeritas Certified Specialistare a plusPreferred Skills Experience with backup hardware (tape libraries, disk arrays, cloud gateways) Exposure to enterprise storage systems and SAN/NAS environments Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity
