Your expertise will be pivotal in customizing and extending WordPress functionality, ensuring our projects not only meet but exceed specified requirements within our agile, fast-paced, execution-driven tech team. We're seeking a strategic contributor who will build best in class web experiences, with accessibility and best practices in mind.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

- Leading the development of WordPress websites, encompassing theme and plugin development, customization, and optimization for SEO

- Collaborating with designers and front-end developers to translate designs into pixel-perfect implementations, user interfaces, and SEO-compliant structures

- Customizing and extending WordPress functionality to align with project requirements, specifications, and SEO goals

- Ensuring WordPress websites adhere to optimal performance, speed, and SEO best practices, including thorough keyword research, metadata optimization, and content refinement

- Troubleshooting and resolving SEO-related issues, conducting code reviews, and providing technical guidance and support to junior developers

Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 7+ years of WordPress development, showcasing a portfolio with custom WordPress websites and SEO-focused projects

- Proficient in React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL

- Expert in WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and SEO optimization

- Strong grasp of responsive design, mobile-first development, and SEO best practices

- Knowledgeable in on-page and off-page SEO techniques, including keyword research, metadata optimization, and content refinement

- Experience with version control systems, especially Git, is a plus

- WordPress certification or relevant training is advantageous

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
