Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Science Manager to lead our team of talented data scientists and machine learning engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deep learning (DL), machine learning (ML), data science, and computer vision, with a proven track record of delivering data science products in production.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to drive our data science initiatives forward.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Project Management : Oversee the development and delivery of data science products, ensuring projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and business objectives.
- Model Development : Design, implement, and optimize predictive models using techniques such as regressions, time series, neural networks, clustering, decision trees, and heuristic models.
- Technical Expertise : Apply advanced computer vision-based deep learning models to solve complex challenges, with a strong emphasis on balancing model performance and business needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical experts to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Statistical Analysis : Utilize statistical knowledge and proficiency in Python to analyze data, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions.
- User Research Integration : Combine user research and data science methodologies to enhance multiple products within the business unit.
- Product Delivery : Ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of data science products in production environments.
Must-Have Qualifications :
Experience :
- 5+ years of working experience in DL/ML/Data science/Computer Vision.
- 2+ years of experience in leading a team of data scientists or machine learning engineers.
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong understanding and implementation experience with predictive modeling algorithms.
- Project Experience : Proven track record of delivering multiple data science products in production.
- Educational Background : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Data Science, Deep Learning / Machine Learning preferred.
Good-to-Have Qualifications :
Domain-Specific Experience :
- Experience developing computer vision-based ML and DL models for agricultural applications using remote sensing data.
- Experience leading a team of engineers to solve complex problems, preferably in the agriculture domain.

- Communication : Excellent skills for working cross-functionally, building relationships, and effectively conveying technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning : Ability to balance stakeholder interests, strategic planning, and translating product requirements into technical solutions.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Leadership : Demonstrated leadership skills with a bias for action and ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Collaboration : Proven ability to work effectively across different functions within an organization.
