DATA Governance Operations Staff

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Operations Analyst to oversee the organization's data security process operations. The Data Governance Operations Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the organization's policies and procedures align with company, legal and regulatory requirements. They will also manage the data security policy and practices, ensuring that procedures are properly followed accordance with applicable guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

Implement policies and procedures for data policies and procedures.

Work closely with various departments to identify data retention requirements.

Develop and maintain logs, and registers of multiple activities

Ensure compliance with identified company, legal and regulatory requirements.

Monitor data policies and procedures to ensure they are being followed.

Perform data analysis to identify potential data issues and recommend solutions.

Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain data policies and procedures.

Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Manage and track with guidance the resolution in responding to project related issues

Understand the importance of a strong sense of urgency, communicating effectively and having a keen attention to detail

Requirements:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various departments.

Demonstrated excellence in, oral, written and presentation communication skills.

Job requires written communications to VP and higher level leadership

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Comfortable with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Proven experience of 2+ years as a Data Policy Operations Analyst or in a similar role.

Understanding of Data Management & Data Governance principles.

Understanding of Risk Management.

Already played a data role in any domain.

Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate work with global team based in US, Europe and India. Regular work is expected until 8:30pm IST multiple days/week.

Experience with O365 management (SharePoint, OneDrive)

Experience with ServiceNow queue management

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management

Able to perform Elicitation of needs

Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is good to have.

Experience in developing and delivering training programs
