Job DescriptionHead-huntress.com has a Direct Hire opportunity for a Director of Facilities with a reputable Client in the Restaurant and Food industry. This position is full time, on-site in Smithfield, RI. There is no relocation assistance for this position.

Position: Director of FacilitiesJoin our esteemed Client, a leader in the Restaurant and Food industry, as the Director of Facilities. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing all skilled mechanical trades, grounds, environmental, and custodial services in a union campus environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of Facilities Management leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead existing and new client programs, including short- and long-range planning, construction and renovation projects, preventative and corrective maintenance, energy management, grounds and landscaping, and janitorial services.

Manage facilities maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades.

Hire, train, and supervise staff, professionals, and management.

Ensure a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.

Oversee construction work and other core services, as needed.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.

5 years of experience in Facilities Management leadership.

5 years of experience as a Director of Facilities in a university or campus setting.

Experience managing all skilled mechanical trades, grounds, environmental, and custodial services in a

union campus

environment.

Nice to Have:Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management.

Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus.
