Job Description : General Manager Operations (GMO)

Location : Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Operations (GMO) to lead and oversee our operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing operations, with a deep understanding of relevant software applications, and expertise in purchasing, sales, and production processes. The GMO will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of our operations while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

 - Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

 - Develop and implement operational policies and strategies.

 - Monitor and analyze operational performance to identify areas for improvement.

 

Software Utilization:

 - Implement and manage relevant software applications for operations, including ERP systems, production management software, and sales tracking tools.

 - Ensure accurate data management and reporting.

 - Use data analytics to support operational decisions and optimize processes.

 

Purchasing:

 - Develop and oversee procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

 - Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials.

 

Sales:

 - Oversee sales strategies to meet revenue targets.

 - Collaborate with the sales team to develop and maintain customer relationships.

 - Analyze sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve goals.

 

Production:

 - Oversee production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.

 - Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in production.

 - Coordinate with the production team to address any issues and optimize operations.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

- Proficient in the use of ERP systems, production management software, and data analysis tools.

- Strong understanding of purchasing, sales, and production processes.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
