This role is crucial to BSV’s vision to deliver better outcomes to patients across India.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Build a robust strategy and implementation plan to drive policy advocacy of disease areas of BSV’s interest, in alignment with business priorities2. Stakeholder mapping of important ministries, professional associations and societies to impactfully shape healthcare policy ecosystem conducive to BSV’s interest3. Develop and sustain strong strategic relationship with key central and state government health ministries, officials and other critical stakeholders of healthcare and Lifesciences policy ecosystem (NITI Aayog, NHA, ICMR, WHO, DoP, DBT) to drive policy change in states and centre around disease awareness, correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment protocols for therapy areas relevant to BSV4. Sustained policy advocacy should drive increased access and more funding in state government’s health budget towards BSV’s therapeutic disease area5. Represent BSV with leaders at important govt. and industry national healthcare conferences and events to drive increased focus of BSV’s impactful work in public health domain6. Research and monitor key healthcare policies, legislations and regulations that impact BSV and entire healthcare and life sciences system and advise on how to address them7. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (medical, marketing, institution business team) to deliver strategic objectives of the organization

Competencies and Strengths Required

1. Comprehensive understanding of current and new global and India health policies, legislations and regulations2. Ability to analyse the impact of Central and state government’s healthcare and life sciences sector policies on the organization’s business and strategy3. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills4. Strong inter-personal and network building abilities are essential for internal and external relationships management5. Strategic Agility- Ability to drive projects in an evolving business and policy environment to meet short and long-term goals

Desired candidate profile -

Masters of Public Health/ MBA in Healthcare Administration Mgmt from Tier 1 institute

5+ yrs of work experience in Policy Shaping and liaising with Government Stakeholders
