Overview: The DataBackup role is a critical position within our organizationresponsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of ourcrucial business data. The individual in this role will beresponsible for implementing and managing data backup and recoverysolutions to protect against data loss and ensure businesscontinuity.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Designingimplementing and managing data backup and recoveryprocesses
  • Developing backup policies andprocedures to ensure data integrity andavailability
  • Performing regular tests andaudits of backup systems to ensure reliability andefficiency
  • Monitoring and managing storageresources to accommodate backupdata
  • Collaborating with IT and security teamsto ensure compliance with data protectionregulations
  • Troubleshooting and resolvingissues with backup systems and recoveryprocesses
  • Documenting and maintaining recordsof backup configurations andprocedures
  • Participating in disaster recoveryplanning and exercises
  • Providing support andexpertise in data backup and recoveryrelatedprojects
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield
  • Proven experience in data backupmanagement and administration
  • Proficiency inbackup software and tools such as Commvault Veeam orVeritas
  • Strong understanding of data storagetechnologies and methodologies
  • Knowledge ofdisaster recovery principles and bestpractices
  • Excellent problemsolving andanalytical abilities
  • Attention to detail andability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability towork collaboratively in a teamenvironment
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
  • Certifications in backupand recovery technologies (e.g. Certified Commvault Engineer) is aplus
