As a Data Analyst at Crimsonyoull use your quantitative background and strong SQL skills todive deep into datasets to guide decisionmaking. You will createdashboards to help us understand how we are doing as anorganization everything from whether our students are ontrack toachieve their university goals and how satisfied our customers areto how efficiently we are operating as a company and how much valuewe are driving for the business (revenuemargins).

It is critical that our Data Analystsare comfortable wearing multiple hats communicating withstakeholders who have different needs and owning the reportingprocess endtoend from talking to stakeholders about their needstranslating that into an action plan and then executing on thatplan to take raw data in tables all the way to a final dashboardthat stakeholders can use.

This is a fulltimeposition that can be worked remotely or in one of our many officesaround the globe.

Whatare the main responsibilities for thisrole

  • Creating reportsand dashboards that allow all our operations teams to effectivelytrack student progress and productperformance
  • Maintaining data infrastructure toensure accurate reporting and data collection bestpractices
  • Troubleshooting and providingcreative solutions to any data problems that mayarise
  • Understanding business needs and ins andouts of each arm of our operations organization (strategyconsulting customer success tutoring various productlines)

Whatskills and experience arerequired

  • Technicalskills and experience
    • Ability tocreate and maintain advanced SQLqueries
    • Critical thinking in particular theability to follow a sequence of ifthen clauses to completion forexample in edge case analysis
    • Experiencetranslating data analyses into business insights is aplus
    • Computer science background or codingexperience a plus
  • Softskills and experience
    • Experiencecommunicating with various stakeholders to clarify product and datarequests and clearly communicate and explain reportresults
    • Thoroughness in considering all edgecases; lack of thoroughness will make it very difficult tosucceed
    • Ability and desire to ensure that thedata is as accurate as possible; misleading data should not becommunicated to stakeholders
    • Having a growthmindset: there are always new features to develop new problems tosolve new hats to wear and new areas toupskill
