About the Role:
The Third-Party Manufacturing Lead will oversee the manufacturing operations for all India-based third party manufacturing facilities to ensure a consistent supply of all assigned SKUs across multiple product categories for our Private Label business. This role is critical in managing commercial negotiations, developing and executing sourcing strategies, overseeing 3P supplier relationships and performance, financial benchmarking, and minimizing losses. Reporting directly to the Vice President-Operations, this position plays a pivotal role in the introduction of new products, ensuring customer service excellence, cost optimization, and compliance with 3P suppliers.
Key Deliverables (What Will You Do)
Manage and ensure uninterrupted supply of SKU’s from various Contract Manufacturing through accurate forecasting, planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and key partners to resolve supply and production challenges.
Negotiate favorable contracts and supply arrangements to ensure cost efficiency and supply security.
Monitor both short- and long-term capacity at contract manufacturing facilities, proactively addressing potential issues.
Oversee and manage projects at contract manufacturing facilities (e.g., capacity expansion, machinery upgrades) to avoid disruptions in service.
Assess and validate the capabilities of contract manufacturing facilities, providing recommendations to resolve any issues, and align action plans with internal teams.
Identify and drive improvements in supply chain processes, production, and logistics to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Lead the identification and qualification of new contract manufacturing facilities when necessary.
Job Specification (What Will You Need)
Bachelor degree in Engineering and Post Graduation/MBA in Supply Chain, Logistic is preferred.
12-15 years work experience FMCG environment, preferably in production/planning/supply chain/procurement of which minimum 3 years in managing third party contract manufacturers
Strong business acumen and proven leadership, interpersonal and people management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven track record in cost improvement.
Lean / Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
Project and change management experience are desirable
Excellent communication skills.
