Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer to join our reputable law firm. As an associate you will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel and support for a wide range of transactional work.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate various documents.
Provide legal advice to clients financial & regulatory laws.
Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations that may impact client transactions.
Applicant should have experience in Banking & Finance law and transactional work.
Applicant should possess experience in drafting and reviewing loan security agreements, handling regulatory matters, conducting due diligence for such transactions.
Providing legal counsel to clients in Banking and Finance industry.
Applicant should have a good understanding of financial market, lending practices, and ability to work on complex financial structures and transactions.
Manage matters efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate and organized legal documentation.
Financing experience is mandatory (particularly structured finance, cross border financing, working with foreign banks or lenders)
Mentor and provide guidance to junior lawyers.
Qualifications:
Law degree from an accredited law school.
Proven 3-8 years of experience as a Banking & Finance lawyer, preferably with a reputable law firm.
Strong understanding of RBI regulations, contract law, company law, regulatory law & commercial/business terms
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting transaction documents.
Demonstrated track record of providing sound legal advice and strategic thinking to clients.
