KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

Key responsibilities are developing core PLC programs, integration with drive, interfacing with other devices/PCs/Computing platforms using different communication means & protocol.

Primary Competencies

  • Architectural design of system in control & communication point of view,
  • PLC (Siemens PLC only) program development in STL / SCL and basic exposure (optional) in any other programming like FBD/GRAPH / SFC
  • Practical experience in developing motion control for industrial automation with working knowledge of handling (any make) Drive and interfacing with PLC
  • Knowledge of WINCC or similar s/w for HMI development

Job Description

  • PLC Programming and Troubleshooting (Core activity)

  • Develop, modify, and optimize PLC logic (LAD, SCL,).

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC and I/O-related issues.
  • Maintain logic consistency across machines and ensure standardization.

  • Good programming knowledge for data communication sing MODBUS/UDP/OPC

  • Good Knowledge of Drive control for Induction motors of few KW using different digital command/external analog reference command or over communication link like profinite/can bus etc.

  • Establishing communication between PLC & Drive

  • Drive configuration
  • Different braking control (dynamic & regenerative braking)

  • Dynamic speed setpoint generation for motor RPM control

  • Machine Automation & Commissioning

  • Oversee control system integration with drive & industrial machines.

  • Validate sensor/actuator interfacing, safety systems, and communication protocols.

  • Ensure successful installation, configuration, and testing of PLCs.

  • SCADA/HMI development

  • Good design/development knowledge of HMI for machine control/alarm reporting & management

  • Monitor data logging, alarms, and historical trends in WIN-CC /professional/OA
