What will you do?

As a Backend Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of backend developers to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong background in backend development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of backend developers in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high quality solutions.

- Implement best practices for backend development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with coding standards and security guidelines.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in backend development.

What experience and skills do you need?

Must-Have Skills :

- 4-5 years of experience in backend development.

- Proficiency in backend development with a strong understanding of web frameworks and languages, preferably nodejs and express.

- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.

- Familiarity with tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.

- Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.

- Expertise in using Git for version control.

- Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, optimization, and management.

- Experience with writing complex SQL queries and database schema design.

- Experience with implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using Auth0.

- Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and other authentication protocols

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Experience with serverless architectures.

- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

- Knowledge of TDD principles and experience with writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.

- Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman.

- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

- Understanding of microservices architecture and deployment.

- AWS certifications can be advantageous.

Portfolio :

GitHub or GitLab repositories demonstrating coding skills and contributions to opensource projects.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Proven track record of leading backend development teams.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
