The position is responsible for designing and implementing thoughtful engagement strategies to identify, cultivate, and steward high-value donors, ensuring that their support contributes meaningfully to child welfare, education, and community development programs. Working closely with the  Head – Individual Giving , the HNI Manager will help build a sustainable base of major individual donors and strengthen Good Neighbors India’s overall fundraising capacity.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a deep understanding of India’s philanthropic landscape, including individual givers, family trusts, and emerging wealth contributors interested in social responsibility.Identify and segment potential HNI donors; design customized outreach and engagement plans aligned with Good Neighbors India’s thematic areas and community programs.Build long-term, trust-based relationships with donors, understanding their giving priorities and connecting them to causes that reflect shared values.Create and manage a pipeline of potential supporters through networking, events, personal introductions, and partnerships with wealth advisory circles.Facilitate meaningful donor experiences—such as field visits, personalized impact updates, and small-group interactions with project teams—to strengthen transparency and connection.Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure donor expectations are met through timely reporting, storytelling, and communication of impact.Convert potential leads into recurring and high-value donors, ensuring their continued involvement in Good Neighbors India’s mission.Represent the organization in philanthropic forums, donor gatherings, and CSR networking spaces to enhance visibility and credibility.Maintain an accurate and confidential donor database and ensure all donor engagements are recorded systematically for follow-up and analysis.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, communications, social sciences, or development studies.At least  5 years of relevant experience  in fundraising, donor management, wealth advisory, or client relations, preferably within the nonprofit or social impact sector.Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level donors and philanthropists.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a persuasive yet empathetic communication style.Strategic thinker with a passion for connecting individuals to meaningful causes and measurable impact.Familiarity with philanthropic trends and giving behavior in India’s development sector.Existing networks within the HNI, private wealth, or social investment communities will be an advantage.Core CompetenciesStrategic Relationship Building:  Builds authentic connections that foster trust and long-term commitment.Persuasive and Compassionate Communication:  Inspires generosity through stories of impact and shared purpose.Result Orientation:  Demonstrates drive and accountability in meeting fundraising targets and timelines.Collaborative Leadership:  Works effectively across teams to align donor goals with programmatic priorities.Innovation and Learning:  Embraces new approaches to donor engagement, adapting to emerging philanthropic trends.Ethical Stewardship:  Upholds the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and respect in all donor relationships.Safeguarding CommitmentAPSS Foundation is committed to  safeguarding and protecting the rights of children, youth, and vulnerable adults .
