Role Description
One of our client, Tier-1 Large IT Services company, in Bangalore, India requires an AWS Cloud Engineer.
The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to software development, infrastructure management, cloud computing, Linux systems, and databases.

Key Responsibilities:
● AWS Cloud Management:
○ Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as Glue, Athena, and Redshift for data integration, querying, and analytics.
○ Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and efficient data architectures and cloud-based solutions on AWS.
● Automation and Continuous Improvement:
○ Drive continuous improvement efforts by automating routine tasks and optimizing cloud infrastructure.
○ Implement automated solutions for cloud management, monitoring, and deployment processes.
○ Leverage AWS Glue for ETL processes and data cataloging, while using Athena for querying data stored in S3.
○ Enhance performance and cost-efficiency by optimizing Redshift data warehouse configurations and querying processes.
● Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
○ Utilize Terraform and other IaC tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
○ Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, CodeBuild, and CodeFresh to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
● Programming and Scripting:
○ Write and maintain Python and Bash scripts to automate cloud infrastructure management and data processing tasks.
○ Develop reusable, efficient, and scalable scripts for cloud automation, deployment, and management tasks.
● Linux/Unix Expertise:
○ Work in a Linux/Unix environment to manage cloud servers, applications, and infrastructure components.
○ Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-based issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring smooth cloud operations.
● Collaboration and Support:
○ Collaborate with development, operations, and data teams to ensure cloud-based solutions meet business requirements and performance standards.
○ Provide technical support and guidance on cloud best practices, automation, and infrastructure management.
● Monitoring and Optimization:
○ Set up monitoring and alerting for cloud infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve issues.
○ Continuously optimize infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency, leveraging cloud-native tools and best practices.

Key Requirements:
● Experience:
○ 6+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS services, particularly Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
○ Strong programming skills in Python and Bash for automating tasks and building cloud solutions.
○ Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with significant experience using Terraform for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
○ Proven experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CodeBuild, Bamboo, and CodeFresh.
● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency in AWS services for data integration and analytics (AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift).
○ Experience with automation tools and techniques to enhance cloud operations and reduce manual tasks.
○ Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, with the ability to manage servers and troubleshoot issues.
○ Familiarity with cloud monitoring and optimization best practices.
● Soft Skills:
