We are a fast-growing, boutique consulting firm that supports large-cap private equity firms and their global portfolio companies with digital transformation. We are seeking a client-facing consultant to join our team with experience in providing analysis, insights and support for procurement based projects.
Mission
Work within Alysian consulting teams as a specialist practiitioner, supporting private equity client to optimise their IT spend while ensuring efficient operations. You will lead IT spend analysis workstreams, and support the development of new proprietary tools, benchmarking databases and market perspectives.
Note: Role will be based in India but supporting clients remotely (mainly based in Europe, with some in US East Coast).
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT cost categories, data modeling, and automation / visualization tools.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in consulting or research with a focus on IT spend analysis, benchmarking, or related roles (ideally within leading advisory firms including but not limited to MBB, Big-4 or Gartner)
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) with experience managing large datasets with databases
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbally and in writing (e.g., PowerPoint)
Knowledge of cloud services, outsourcing models, and IT infrastructure
Ability to work independently, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to remain closely connected to remote teams that you will be working with on a regular basis
Experience in multiple industries, ideally including consumer products and/or telecommunications
Key outcomes
Data Collection and Analysis:
Gather spend data, contracts, and other relevant information related to IT costs from within client organisation and external resources.
Create a comprehensive database by organizing and structuring the data.
Analyze spending patterns, identify trends, and benchmark against industry standards.
Data Modeling and Visualization:
Develop a robust data model (ie.: standardisation, cleaning, anonymisation and structuring) that captures various IT cost elements.
Design dashboards and reports to visualize cost data effectively.
Present insights to stakeholders, including senior management (CxO level).
IT Vendor and IT Category Understanding:
Deliver expertise in IT spend categories, vendors, and market players.
Stay informed about industry trends, pricing models, and emerging technologies.
Automation and Process Improvement:
Manage and ideally automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. (e.g.: from client spend data to our standardised model)
Implement tools for database maintenance and updates.
Continuously improve data accuracy and efficiency.
Utilise AI to extract, structure and enhance information
Simple Solution Development:
Build a user-friendly interface for accessing benchmarking data.
Create basic analytical tools for cost comparison and decision-making.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate the solution into existing systems.
