We are looking for a skilled and strategic-minded Garment Technical Manager to oversee the manufacturing and export operations of our woven apparel division. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of production including garment fit checking. The Technical Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring to maintain necessary documents, and identify and analyse problems, proposing solutions with logical decision, while maintaining a strong focus on cost optimization and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical development process of production operations for the woven apparel export division.
- Collaborate closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that garment designs are translated accurately into production-ready patterns and specifications.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize production efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of production samples to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
- Work closely with manufacturing units to resolve technical issues and improve production processes.
- Conduct internal QMS process audit.
- Train and mentor team members on garment construction techniques, quality control procedures, and industry best practices.
- Delegate tasks effectively, prioritizing workload to meet project deadlines and production schedules.
- Able to drive process with cross functional team members and Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on production performance, key initiatives, strategic objectives and updates in PLM
Qualifications:
- Master's / Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in production operations management, preferably in the woven apparel manufacturing and export industry.
- Strong Knowledge of different fabrics and styles of garments.
- Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence, improving productivity, and achieving cost savings in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of garment fitting and sample review.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
