We are currently seeking a skilled Product Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of fashion trends, excellent technical skills, and strong communication abilities. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and collaboration with our production team to bring designs to life.
Job Requirements:
- Design Skills:
- Create original and innovative garment designs that incorporate current fashion trends, customer preferences, and quality standards.
- Develop mood boards, sketches, technical drawings, and 3D prototypes of garment designs.
- Research and incorporate current fashion trends and market insights into the design process.
- Technical Specifications:
- Prepare detailed technical specifications (Tech Packs) for production teams, including measurements, fabrics, trims, and construction details.
- Ensure designs comply with quality standards and are cost-effective for mass production.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with other team members, including merchandisers, marketers, and production teams, to ensure the design vision aligns with business goals.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
- Additional certifications or courses in product design or garment production are a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in garment design, preferably in a fashion brand or apparel manufacturing company.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in designing a range of garments (casual wear, formal wear, outerwear, etc.).
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
