Senior Analyst - Planning & Reporting (Consultant role- Contract for 9 Months)


Job summary:


This role is part of the overall UK FP&A team based in Bangalore. This is an analytic role which will require working with finance control teams to analyze month end performance. The candidate will support the FP&A managers in relation to budgeting/ forecasting and Client reporting for the service line revenue/costs in collaboration with Commercial Finance, Operational Finance and Client/Capability teams. This role will be required to maintain and update various formats, trackers/repositories as required from time to time.


Job Description:


Key responsibilities:


This person will be required to perform the following activities:


  • Month end Analysis

Feed into monthly close process to ensure key accruals and inaccuracies have been resolved in liaison with Financial Control

Check costs are classified correctly by referring to cost models and propose reclassification journals.

Produce monthly and other reporting requirements of CXM Practice Area


  • Client Profitability


Update Department Database to ensure all joiners, leavers, new project codes in Navision (ERP System) are captured.

Ensure that all costs and revenue have client project codes assigned for Client Profitability Report.

Prepare & Analyse the power BI profitability report and communicate findings with FP&A managers and commercial finance.


  • Forecasting/ Budgeting


Support the preparation and analysis of all monthly forecasts, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets.

Prepare B&I Forecast File (Billings & Income) which pulls together a consolidated view.


  • Other activities


Co-ordinate, communicate and oversee all FP&A requirements in CXM Practice Area.

Support and work collaboratively with wider FP&A team, Commercial Finance and Operational Finance

Maintain Excel reporting formats required by the team

Provide assistance and support to the FP&A Manager as required for routine tasks and projects.


Key Requirements:


  • MBA Finance or Commerce Graduate with 6-8 Years experience
  • Qualified Accountant 2+Years PQE (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of FP&A
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
  • Experience of GL, SAC, Power BI, Planning & Consolidation Systems, Macros will be an added advantage.
