Key Responsibilities• Conduct climate change risk and vulnerability assessments across priority sectors• Develop adaptation planning frameworks and adaptive pathways• Apply climate modelling, projections, and scenario analysis to inform decision-making• Advise on climate adaptation measures with clear implementation pathways• Support Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) assessments and reporting• Contribute to climate and disaster risk management strategies• Implement adaptation actions and monitor progress using resilience metrics and indicators• Integrate climate justice and social inclusion into adaptation planning• Conduct cost-benefit and multi-criteria analysis for adaptation options• Support climate finance access through proposals to Green Climate Fund (GCF), Global Environment Facility (GEF), and others• Facilitate co-creation and stakeholder engagement across government, civil society, and vulnerable groupsRequired QualificationsAdvanced degree in climate science, environmental studies, sustainable development, natural resource management, or related discipline5+ years of experience in climate adaptation, resilience planning, or related fieldsDemonstrated involvement in developing or updating NDCs, LT-LEDS, or NAPs, particularly in developing country contextsProficiency in conducting CVRAs and translating findings into actionable strategiesExperience working with climate models and interpreting risk projectionsStrong grasp of techno-commercial analysis, cost estimation, and financing pathwaysFamiliarity with climate finance mechanisms such as GCF, GEF, and bilateral donor programsEffective communication, analytical thinking, and facilitation skills.Exposure to UNFCCC reporting processes (BUR, TNC, BTR) is an advantagePreferred AttributesPrior experience supporting national governments in climate strategy developmentBackground in climate and sustainability consulting or advisory roles.Knowledge of ecosystem-based adaptation, nature-based solutions, and coastal resilience approachesAbility to integrate gender and social inclusion into adaptation planning.Skilled in translating technical analysis into policy guidance and investment strategies
