Test Manager / Lead Tester Job DescriptionOverview:As a Test Manager or Lead Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications. You’ll lead a team of testing professionals, collaborate with project managers, and interact with clients to deliver high-quality software products.Responsibilities:o Lead and manage a team of testing professionals and drive process improvements within the testing team.o Develop comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, considering functional, non-functional, and regression testing.o Collaborate with stakeholders to align testing efforts with project goals.o Define testing scope, objectives, and success criteria.o Oversee test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.o Generate test reports, including test coverage, defect metrics, and overall quality status.o Ensure thorough coverage of requirements and use cases.o Conduct manual testing as needed.o Assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure efficient progress.o Foster a positive work environment and motivate team members.o Establish and enforce quality standards, processes, and best practices.o Monitor defect trends and implement corrective actions.o Communicate with clients or stakeholders to understand their expectations and requirements.o Provide regular status updates and address any concerns.o Identify and assess project risks related to testing.o Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test data, and test environments.o Maintain detailed documentation of data test cases, scenarios, and results.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.• Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, execution, and defect management.• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.• Familiarity with AWS data tools (e.g., AWS S3, Glue & Athena).
