Data Migration Specialist

Data Migration SpecialistAs a Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for securely and accurately transferring data from legacy ERP systems to Deltek Vantagepoint. This role requires strong Microsoft SQL skills and a deep understanding of data structures, relationships, and strategy. You will work closely with the project team to plan, manage, and execute data migration projects.Responsibilities:- Collaborate with project teams to determine data migration requirements.- Understand and map data structures to ensure accurate data transfer.- Perform data analysis on legacy systems.- Develop and implement migration scripts and procedures.- Thoroughly test the migration process.- Review and assess data to identify potential issues.- Reconcile data between legacy systems and migrated data.- Execute data migration in a production environment.- Collaborate with Operations to design, build, and customize reports using Microsoft Visual Studio.- Create workflows in Deltek Vantagepoint.- Research and develop new technologies and tools related to Deltek Vantagepoint.- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance.- Serve as a subject matter expert on Deltek Vantagepoint.Qualifications:- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading into Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint.- Experience with relational databases, including tables, views, queries, T-SQL, and stored procedures.- Ability to develop complex queries and stored procedures using SQL for Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint workflows and custom reports.- Thorough understanding of database systems and data migration techniques.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams.- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.- Understanding of data usage and implications for data migration.- Experience in developing best practices, processes, and standards for data migration activities.- Experience in data mapping between legacy systems and Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint.- Experience in data extraction and cleansing.- Experience working with ERP systems (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint) and understanding their data structures.- Knowledge of accounting principles.- 5+ years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server.- Experience in professional services is preferred but not required.- Proficiency in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint is required.
