Roles and Responsibilities:
Media Relations:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets.
Create and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other materials to garner positive media coverage.
Act as the primary spokesperson for the University when dealing with the media.
Monitor media coverage and prepare reports for senior leadership.
Public Relations Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies that align with the University's goals and priorities.
Identify opportunities to enhance the University's reputation and visibility through media and public engagement.
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
Crisis Communication:
Serve as a key member of the crisis communication team, providing
guidance and support during critical incidents.
Develop crisis communication plans and materials to effectively
manage and mitigate reputational risks.
Content Creation:
Create compelling and informative content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media platforms.
Work with graphic designers and multimedia specialists to produce visual and multimedia content.
Event Management:
Coordinate and promote university events, including press conferences, campus tours, and public lectures.
Manage media attendance and coverage for key events.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, community organizations, and government agencies.
Act as a liaison between GITAM University and external partners.
Analytics and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of PR and media efforts.
Provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.

Qualification:

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
● Proven ability to handle sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism.
● Familiarity with media monitoring and analytics tools.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
