About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Test Lead with 6 to 9 years of experience in REST API testing, BDD, and Cucumber to lead our testing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies for REST APIs.

What You Will Do

1. Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for REST APIs.

2. BDD and Cucumber: Lead the development of BDD tests using Cucumber, ensuring high test coverage and quality.

3. Test Automation: Design and implement automated tests for REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.

4. Test Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality testing.

5. Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

6. Test Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain test metrics and reports, providing insights into testing progress and quality.

What You Need to Be Successful

1. Technical Skills:

2. BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and Cucumber experience

3. REST API testing experience
4. Test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, REST Assured)

5. Programming languages (e.g., Java, Ruby, Python)

6. Testing Experience:

7. 6-9 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on REST API testing

8. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools

9. Leadership Skills:

10. Experience leading and mentoring test teams

11. Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bonus Points if You Have

1. Experience with Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

2. Knowledge of DevOps Tools: Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)

3. Experience with Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

4. Certifications: Certifications in testing or related fields (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)
