We are looking for an Android lead who will actively work in a multi-disciplinary fast-paced environment. A strong Android mobile application developer possesses a combination of technical skills, creativity, and a solid understanding of mobile app development best practices. This role requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step into different roles depending on the size and scope of the project, its primary responsibility is to design and build next generation mobile applications using Android SDK. Your duties may include collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating application published on the App Store.

About the Role - Deep hands-on experience in front-end engineering, from requirement gathering to front-end design for end customer-facing applications.

  • Responsibilities
  • Strong Android developers’ technical skills, demonstrate a passion for creating high-quality, user-centric mobile applications.
  • Responsible for formulating business development strategies for mobile application development.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Selection of optimal design solutions with best practices implementation for the customer requirements.
  • Experience with popular and upcoming cutting-edge mobile frameworks.
  • Experience in design, architecture, development, testing, and performance tuning components/applications/products.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum development methodology and lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Gather and prioritize product requirements, define, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value.
  • Continuously improve release processes for efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product releases.
  • Understand requirements and come up with low-level and high-level application system design. Document the application/data flow through various application layers and depict it using diagrams, sequences, flows, required ports and protocols, connectivity, and communication across services.
  • Passionate about technology and customer success with excellent communication and articulation skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and solutions at a level appropriate for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g., usability, findability).
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
  • Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Android SDK Java/Kotlin.
  • Jetpack Compose and Libraries.
  • Room or SQLite Database.
  • MVVM, MVP, MVIt.
  • REST API/Retrofit.
  • Auto Layout, User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design.
  • Networking and Data Management, experience with RESTful APIs, web services and APIs.
  • Knowledge of Core Data for Implementing data persistence and storage on the device.
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub version control for source code management and collaboration.
  • Debugging and Performance Optimization, Identifying and fixing bugs efficiently and ensuring smooth performance and responsiveness of the app.
  • Adherence to Apple's design principles: Building apps that align with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for a consistent and intuitive user experience.
  • Writing and executing unit tests to ensure code reliability. Implementing UI tests to validate app behavior.
  • Commitment to continuous learning: Staying updated with the latest Android and Kotlin developments and incorporating new technologies and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, tackling challenges and finding effective solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA testers.
  • Experience with app deployment, submitting apps to the App Store, understanding the submission process, and handling app provisioning
