Job Responsibilities:
1. Build advanced, high-quality applications specifically for the Android platform in the areas of
smartphone telematics and customer self-service features.
2. Support mobile application development using Flutter and Dart, ensuring consistency and
performance across iOS and Android platforms.
3. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and deliver new features.
4. Have a strong command of Android UI layouts, controls, and user-defined UI elements to ensure high quality user interfaces that are responsive for various device layouts and settings.
5. Actively collaborate with iOS and Flutter developers to ensure consistency of user experience across platforms.
6. Implement relevant Firebase SDKs and monitor console to proactively detect issues and develop
patches as and when applicable.
7. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
8. Address bugs and optimize applications to improve functionality and user experience.
9. Stay on top of changes to Android OS with new releases, conduct impact analysis and propose changes to current apps to make them compatible to new Android versions.
10. Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance development efficiency and
application quality.
11. Take responsibility for end-to-end product quality by developing and maintaining core app
frameworks, making the apps more reliable and error-free for end users.
12. Create prototypes for new ideas and investigate emerging technologies to stay at the forefront of mobile development.
Required Skills:
➢ Android Skills: High proficiency in Java (required) and/or Kotlin, Android SDK, Firebase SDKs, and Android Studio. Familiarity with integrating with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and version
control systems like Git.
➢ Device/OS Sensor Skills: Have experience or advanced knowledge in utilization of device sensors such as GPS, Bluetooth, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, etc. to develop complex features that use the sensor data.
➢ Flutter Skills: Basic to mid-level experience in developing mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
➢ Published Apps: At least one original Android app published on the Google Play Store or other
platforms, with good understanding of Play Store compliance guidelines
➢ Web Service Integration: Hands-on experience with integrating web services, including REST, JSON, and XML, as well as familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
➢ API and Cloud Integration: Experience with analytics, location services, social APIs, Mobile Device Management (MDM), payment gateways, SMS gateways, and Application Performance Management (APM) tools.
➢ Mobile Landscape Awareness: Solid understanding of mobile development trends, architectures, and emerging technologies.
➢ Full Mobile Development Life Cycle: Comprehensive knowledge of the entire mobile development process, from concept through deployment and maintenance.
Educational Qualifications:
✓ Engineering graduate or B. Tech/MCA with relevant major subjects like Computer Science.
✓ Applicants with other advanced certifications in relevant areas will be preferred.
