Job Description Summary( Purpose & General Characteristics )Identify business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs.Turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions( Representative Activities )Participate to BI projects, with a strong focus on trade, import / exports statisticsAnalyze business processes and requirementsAssist business with data collection and modelingCreate Reports and Data VisualizationsCreate and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manualsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with BI solutionsIdentify development needs in order to improve and streamline operationsCollaborate with business usersJob Responsibilities:Competition Monitoring :Identify and consolidate import / export statistics into a database for all major productsConduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking dataMonthly overview (dashboard) and Quarterly Deep Dive / presentation on risks & opportunities (volumes and pricing)Market trends:Gather and interpret internal & external information with industry analysts and subject matter experts to identify customer challenges and industry trends and uncover growth opportunities for the 3 following markets: Refractory Producers, Abrasives, Building Solutions & Infrastructure SolutionsCreate presentations to provide market and customers insights to the whole commercial teamMonitor and forecast marketing and market trends
Education & Experience:Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Marketing or MBAFirst experience with quantitative work (data analysis & market intelligence, conducting market research), with dashboards & reports, ideally in the B2B / industrial marketing experienceExperience of working in multinational teams, across geographies, with a preference in the industrial environment. Be able to work well independently and with the broader teamNumerical, logical reasoning and analytical skills.High level of attention to detail and follow throughBusiness acumenFlexibility in working approach and capacity of delivering within short deadlines.High autonomy in conducting worksCuriosity for new subjectsStrong interpersonal skillsAble to quickly adapt to IT tools like CRM (Sales Force), ERP (SAP etc), Business Intelligence tools (Qlikview, Qliksense) and other data toolsMust have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite / Google sheets/Excel and visual representation with Powerpoint / Google Data StudioLanguages: Fluent in English ; Any additional language is a plusThe successful candidate will be a collaborative professional, very comfortable doing detailed numerical market analysis, as well as creating presentations that synthesize complex information and tell a compelling story with data. The candidate must have a good understanding of our business segments, products and technologies.
