We are seeking a skilled and experienced Modelling & Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position will involve leveraging the interplay between hydrodynamic controls and propulsion controls. You will be utilising high-fidelity simulations and live-vehicle testing to validate and verify your control systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink and ensure they accurately represent the behavior of the system

  • Develop and implement control law algorithms for HyperHorizon’s AUVs

  • Conduct software in the loop, processor in the loop, and hardware in the loop testing to validate models and simulation environments.

  • Take sea trial test data and refine models to increase accuracy and reliability.



Requirements


Required Qualification and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience developing control systems in the robotics or aviation industry

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science or related engineering discipline with focus on control systems

  • Experience with designing control systems for non-linear dynamic systems

  • Aircraft control systems and integrated flight hardware experience

  • C/C++ Embedded software development experience

  • Simulation environment development and operation

  • Proficient with MATLAB/Simulink

Desired Qualification and Skills

  • Flight test or sea trials experience
