This full-time role is ideal for a mid-level professional with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. The Purchasing Manager will be instrumental in optimizing purchasing processes, ensuring efficient procurement to support our chemical manufacturing operations. Qualifications and Skills Strategic Sourcing (Mandatory skill): Expert in developing sourcing strategies that align with business goals to optimize spend. Supplier Relationship Management (Mandatory skill): Proven experience in cultivating strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing and quality. Supply Chain Management Software (Mandatory skill): Proficiency in utilizing supply chain management software for effective procurement operations. Contract Negotiation: Skilled in negotiating favorable contract terms with suppliers, ensuring best value for the company. Data Analysis: Ability to analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. Category Management: Experience in managing specific categories of spend to maximize value and minimize risk. Cost Reduction Strategies: Expertise in implementing strategies that deliver cost reductions while maintaining quality standards. Inventory Management: Competence in managing inventory levels effectively to ensure timely availability of materials without surplus. Experience in Chemical Purchase: Demonstrated experience in purchasing chemicals, with a strong understanding of the chemical market and supplier networks. Roles and Responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the overall goals of the organization. Manage the supplier selection process and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure service quality. Lead the negotiation process for major supply contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors. Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and determine purchasing needs based on sales projections. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful procurement decisions. Oversee the daily activities of the purchasing department to ensure timely and efficient operations. Monitor and evaluate suppliers based on performance, delivery, and price competitiveness. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies in all purchasing activities.
